31. Rhetorical Question

My sentence:

The prostitute, who considered herself to be a highly trained professional in the realm of sexual dysfunction, posed the question, "Look, would you go to a doctor if your car needed servicing?"

Other examples:

"Is the Pope Polish?"

Using the web, I was unable to locate any history of this question - a library search might be more effective.

"Who can say that the legislature of Alabama which set up that state's segregation laws was democratically elected?"

The answer to this rhetorical question, of course, is "no" since almost no black citizens voted in Alabama at that time.
